Overview:
Responsibilities
- The Communications intern will, creating content, and drafting communications materials.
- Support the team in developing and executing media strategies
- Creating content, and drafting communications materials
- Collaborating with Team to Prepare for UGA Invitational
- Drafting Press Releases and Managing Press Inquiries incl. distribution management of releases.
- Daily tasks may include conducting research, drafting and formatting written deliverables, designing and editing graphics
- Capturing photos and video, writing and developing content for social media and other digital channels.
- Assist in conducting research across various issue areas in support of Foundation communications.
- Assist with planning, logistics, speaker coordination and digital coverage for various critical moments on the UGA calendar, partner and golf community activities and special events.
- Gain hands-on experience about all stages of the planning process for large domestic events, including assisting with designing materials, liaising with vendors and venues, and providing onsite support.
- Complete a unique project based on team needs and candidate’s interest.
- Assist in managing Public Affairs database
Compensation
- Intern will receive monthly stipend and experience
Requirements
- Proficient in Photoshop, Canva, and video editing tools
- Interest in non-profit work
- Part-time (10/12 hours/week) (Eastern time zone).
- Passion for golf, social media, marketing, and advocacy work the industry
- Experience in communications or media relations
- Proven quick and thorough research and writing ability
- Extremely organized and detail oriented
- Proven capacity to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines
- Exhibits personal qualities, such as open-mindedness, enthusiasm, and adaptability
- Prefers challenges, fast pace, new ideas, future focus, and a passionate environment
Job Type: Internship
Experience:
- Social Media Management: 1 year (Required)
Education:
- College – Communications, Journalism, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship majors are ideal
Required Schedule:
- Part-time (10/12 hours/week) (Eastern time zone).
Work Location:
- Fully Remote
Compensation:
- $1,500 per semester
